Our Bearer Platforms provide a simple and cost-effective base for sheds and summerhouses. Constructed with 3”x3” tantalised posts for strength and longevity, these platforms form a sturdy framework. We screw the posts together, levelling the base for easy installation. This method simplifies levelling for our experienced team.
Before installing a Bearer Platform, we have a few prerequisites:
- The levelling area must be prepared in advance.
- The site should already be reasonably level; we can’t install a platform on a 45-degree slope, for example.
- In some cases, our team will use packers to level the base.
- If the platform is placed in a boggy area, preparation with a membrane or similar material is necessary.
- We don’t remove old bases before levelling; this must have been done beforehand.
- For extensive levelling, we recommend dropping the platform before installation so the customer can prepare in advance.
- We do level our platforms onto existing unlevel concrete or slab bases.

REQUIREMENTS
We require a level slab or concrete base of at least the size of the building.
Buildings can be sited on decking. If we supply a Bearer Platform the ground must be level and flat!
